Activity: Rhyme Time Monster

Can you think of words that sound the same...rhyme. Rhyming is a fun way to learn literacy. Bring along two props that sound the same to help create a story together!

Materials Needed:

• Cereal/tissue box
• Construction paper various colours
• Small items or pictures of anything that rhymes
• Markers or crayons
• Glue or tape

About Our Literacy Adventure Sessions

After a day of learning, the brain needs a break! For Literacy Adventures, each week we will explore ideas parents can use to engage with their child and incorporate literacy into everyday play! From puppets to painting letters on rocks, it can be part of literacy play without the drill of questioning your child all the time “What letter is that?”
