We are currently working closely with six local healthcare providers on a Justice & Health Partnership pilot project. Also known as medical-legal partnerships, these are new collaborations designed to focus on legal rights and the social determinants of health. These partnerships promote holistic, client-centered care. They work to prevent legal problems from escalating and adversely impacting health.
With Special Guest Speakers from:
- The World Health Innovation Network (Odette School of Business)
- Health Providers Against Poverty
- St. Michael’s Hospital Legal Services Project
We will also share insights from the evaluation of the first phase of our Justice & Health project and, with the help of guest speakers, discuss the possibilities these partnerships create for improving health & enhancing access to justice for people living in poverty.
Light refreshments will be provided at 1:45 pm.
The forum will be from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
The Clinic’s Annual General Meeting will follow the forum at 4:15 pm.
Please RVSP by November 10 if you require ASL interpretation or FM devices.
