Description

Prescription Self-Care presents The Panel Series: a seven part panel style series showcasing community leaders in Toronto's wellness space through monthly events. This panel will focus on the self-care realm of environment. Join us as we showcase three amazing community leaders who will be discussing topics such as sustainability & fashion, eco-friendly lifestyle practices, developing a sacred space & more. We invite you to join in on our conversation, ask questions, connect with likeminded individuals and leave having learnt something new!

Hosted by Erika Geremia featuring:

  • Sirena Abalian - Did you know it can take up to 1,800 gallons of water to produce one pair of jeans? Or that your first ever plastic toothbrush is still alive and well somewhere on this planet? Disgusted by the way our industries treat Mother Earth, Sirena set out to shake it up. A graduate of York University's Environmental Studies program, this sustainability activist intends to redesign our systems and advocate for a more conscious human collective. Listen to her podcast, "Consciously Sassy" and reach out through her website for all conscious PR & Consulting needs.
  • Dayna Stein - founder of bare market - Toronto's one-stop shop for package-free goods. Dayna has a Bachelor of Science in sustainable food systems and food security and a Masters of Science in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability. Prior to starting bare market, Dayna was a consultant working with clients across sectors on sustainable food systems and social enterprise development. Now she spends her days making refillable body, home care (and eventually bulk food) options, as well as, "reduced waste" lifestyle items more physically and financially accessible to the everyday consumer. In 2018, Dayna was recognized as Notable Life's Eco-Warrior of the Year.
  • Ashleigh Norris - Certified Holistic Nutrition based in Toronto and owner of The Soulful Sprout Holistic Nutrition. She facilitates clients and community towards connecting with the healing powers of food and plant-based medicines. She is passionate about healing people and our planet and living a sustainable life. You can find her in the forest foraging or at the local farmers market soaking up all the season has to offer with her dogs Olive and Figgie.
  • Julie Skirving: creator of the Logan & Finley brand. You will often find her sharing her enthusiasm and product expertise with customers in the store. Julie started Logan & Finley after 20+ years in various leadership roles in the outdoor apparel industry. It blends her professional expertise of telling really interesting brand stories with her love of nature, travel and living a healthy lifestyle. Logan & Finley is an eco-conscious general store that focuses on solutions for living a more sustainable lifestyle. Each product has been thoughtfully chosen, purposeful, useful and well made. The store is a warm and welcoming environment and the customer experience is our priority. Sustainability is central to Logan & Finley’s conscious lifestyle philosophy, and we love helping our customers find options that suit their every day needs. We focus on quality over quantity and offer products that are unique, effective and just luxurious enough that you enjoy using them every day.
