The Lassonde School of Engineering at York University is driving innovation through its gender parity goals. It's Lassonde 50:50 Challenge was the first time in Canada that an engineering school publicly committed to achieving gender balance. The school has many firsts including Canada's only space engineering program, its Renaissance Engineering curriculum and its flipped classroom teaching approach.
Come hear from Assistant Dean, Inclusivity and Diversity, Marisa Sterling, P.Eng., about how the school's gender parity goals are driving innovation and come for a tour by Construction Project Manager, Irina Arsene, P.Eng., of the iconic Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence. The building has received awards including the 2016 Eastern Project of the Year by Daily Commercial News, and recognition by The New York Times as a North American innovation campus.

Doors Open at 7:00 p.m. Presentation followed by Tour at 7:15 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
