About this Event

The Human Rights & Discrimination Circle of the Calgary Indigenous Sharing Network (CISN) will be hosting FIVE Learning Circles on how to incorporate human rights principles enshrined in United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) articles and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) calls to action into our organizations and systems.

Preserving and promoting Indigenous cultures & languages

The final of five learning circles focuses on the preservation and promotion of Indigenous culture and language, and the impacts of racism and discrimination in work and personal environments. This session targets those managing, directing, working within sectors of tourism, history, and art supporting Indigenous cultural connections and will foster a learning & sharing environment within safe, ethical space for dialogue and participation. Lunch will be served.
