Prevention Conference: Sustaining Impact Across Generations

Building on the foundation laid in Building Brighter Futures, this second installment of the Prevention Conference will focus on sustaining long-term impact in prevention work. The event will feature two dedicated streams of presentations tailored to the unique needs of both directors/managers and frontline prevention staff. 

Director/Manager Stream 

This stream will explore strategic leadership topics, including: 

  • Recruiting and retaining the right staff 
  • Performance management best practices 
  • Navigating workplan cycles and program evaluation for continuous improvement 

Frontline Staff Stream 

Designed for those working directly with families and communities, this stream will include sessions on: 

  • Facilitating parenting groups 
  • Understanding trauma and the brain 
  • Family Group Conferencing 
  • Roles and responsibilities of First Nations Representative Services 

All-Staff Presentations

In addition to the focused streams, all attendees will benefit from workshops on: 

  • Prevention programming through the lifecycle 
  • Caring for the caregiver: strategies for wellness and resilience 
  • Pathways to Jurisdiction 

Sustaining a multi-service prevention program is essential to keeping children safe and connected with their families. This conference will inspire you with tools and knowledge to continue making a lasting difference across generations.
