Amanda B. Longo, B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.

Amanda completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Cell and Developmental Biology from The University of Western Ontario. From here, she continued on to complete a Master’s of Science in Physiology from The University of Guelph. As a devout believer in the process of experimental design, her Ph.D. dissertation research quantified and characterized changes to bone microarchitecture throughout the lifespan using CT technologies.

Amanda’s key strength is in strategic innovation, whereby she is able to see an idea from its seedling beginnings through to the translation of its significance from both a business and clinical point of view. Several of these major projects have resulted in an unprecedented lift in revenue for the internal and external stakeholders.

Amanda’s patient and methodical nature, combined with her deep clinical and scientific knowledge ensures optimal resource allocation and maximizes the return on invested capital.

As the CEO of Cloak & Scalpel, Amanda’s experience in evidence-based research and design provide her with the tools and expertise to analyze the financial, clinical and qualitative metrics associated with some of the best specialty clinics and to apply them to practices across the globe in an adaptable and engaging spirit.


Peter C. Fritz, B.Sc., D.D.S., F.R.C.D. (C), Ph.D. (Perio), M.B.A.

Peter is an intrepid, insurgent, life-long learner. He combines clinical, scientific and a strong business acumen to pursue excellence in patient care and economic responsibility.

Peter owns and maintains a private practice in Fonthill, Ontario where he is an advocate of change and innovation in the specialty of periodontics. Uninhibited and persistent, he drives the competitive edge, ignites engagement in clinical and business activities and surrounds himself with only the highest performers. He strives for constant improvement and leads his team with charisma and trusted collaboration, igniting team spirit to boost productivity, harmony and engagement.

He has gained significant peer and industry recognition as a revolutionist and for establishing a world-class periodontal clinic, considered as one of the most innovative and successful solo practitioner clinics in the world.

After having benchmarked against clinics in over 20 countries around the world, Peter created Cloak & Scalpel, a global boutique consulting firm specifically aimed at guiding the best dental professionals to seize opportunities in the VUCA world. Cloak & Scalpel has disrupted the industry of dentistry consultation services and its pupils have built a sustainable competitive advantage and claimed value by innovating success.

In 2018, Peter is lecturing on The Periodontist in Turbulent Times and the Cost of Complications in the US, Europe, Africa and twice at the AAP in Vancouver.
