Event description
Principal Patrick Deane invites you to join him for a conversation about the future of community engagement at Queen’s University.

About this Event

Universities have a responsibility to help strengthen the communities in which they reside. Queen’s University cannot and should not be seen as independent of Kingston. Our history and our future are intertwined.

Principal Patrick Deane is currently involved in a conversation with stakeholders about the future of the university—what it aspires to be and how it might create a path to get there. He is especially interested in engaging community partners and thinking about ways the university can have a positive and transformative impact.

Principal Deane asks that you join him for a conversation with other leaders working within social services and community development in Kingston to share your thoughts and perspectives on how the university may play a role in service to the residents of our city. Your input will help inform the Principal as he develops the future strategy and vision for Queen’s. We look forward to your participation as we discuss the ways in which we can work together.

You are encouraged to submit questions and comments ahead of the meeting or by emailing principal@queensu.ca.

Please register to attend by February 21st, 2020.

4:30 pm - Networking Reception with refreshments & appetizers

5:00 pm - Community Conversation
