Event description
ARMA Vancouver presents an informative session and panel discussion on privacy in BC's primary sectors: public, private, First Nations.

About this Event

FIPPA, PIPA, and FOI, oh my! Come join us for speaker sessions and panel discussion on BC privacy laws and privacy roles in the public, private, and First Nations sectors, with a special appearance from BC FIPA (Freedom of Information and Privacy Association).

Event description:

Privacy and the use of personal information is a topic that is everywhere: in the news (e.g., The New York Times The Privacy Project), in your ads (e.g., apple iphone), on your evening television (e.g., Netflix’s The Great Hack), and (of course) in your Terms and Conditions.

To facilitate discussion and networking with other privacy and information professionals, ARMA Vancouver is bringing together four panelists to discuss privacy in their work and industry:

Jennifer Jansen, Information Management Coordinator at Tsawwassen First Nation

Robyn Biggar, Records and FOIPPA Administrator with the City of Port Coquitlam

Mike Larsen, of BC Freedom of Information and Privacy Association (BC FIPA)

TBA, Private Sector (BC)

Generously hosted by Collabware, this event is free for ARMA Members and Students; however, registration is required as there are limited seats. Looking forward to seeing you there!
