Private Prayer with Communion Service at St. John's Parish
Event Information
About this Event
While the lockdown continues, we will continue to make arrangements for times of private prayer in the church on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. However, each session of this 20 minute private prayer time will now conclude with the opportunity to receive Holy Communion. -
Due to the tight schedule, and social distancing, arrive only at the exact time you are scheduled.
- Wear your mask or face covering to enter.
- Sanitize your hands as you enter.
- Please follow the direction of the ushers.
- You will have a few minutes to pray on your own
- Prayers of preparation led by the priest (Penitential Act, Reading, Lord's Prayer)
- Holy Communion as at Mass (each person coming up the centre aisle and returning to same pew via the side aisle)
- A moment of silent prayer while seated in the pews- A concluding prayer, blessing and dismissal- Depart by the centre aisle.
- Please be mindful of the safety precautions as you exit the church and the ramp.
- Washrooms are closed.
Since we can only accommodate 6 people at a time, to allow for others to attend over the course of the month, we ask that individuals do not sign up every week as soon as registration opens. Instead if you wish to attend every week, check back the day before and if there is availability then by all means sign up.
By the grace of God, before too long we will be able to return to the Holy Mass with up to 30% capacity. In the meantime, be assured of my prayers for you, your families and friends in this new year of Our Lord 2021.We thank you for your cooperation as we open for these brief Communion Services while observing the safety of our fellow parishioners.
Yours in Christ …………………..Rev. John-Mark Missio, Pastor
