AMPIA’s Producer Power Up is a two-day event taking place at NAIT's new DOW Theatre in Edmonton, AB in October, 2023 (date TBA). With a focus on serving the unique needs of Alberta’s producers, the conference provides emerging and established producers with informative sessions and presentations by veteran producers and production managers. Topics include developing and acquiring story and IP, applying to funders, and the essential tools needed for success in the global marketplace. There will also be a focus on service producing in Alberta, a case study of a locally produced film, a session on story sovereignty, as well as a discussion of new technologies and AI tools in filmmaking. And of course, there will be networking opportunities throughout. More details will follow closer to the date.
