Her goal is to integrate agility and design thinking into the process with the end goal of creating world-class messaging that not only informs, influences and inspires audiences but also creates positive change in the workplace to support initiatives that drive acquisition and employee satisfaction. She created Invest Ottawa’s Talent Attraction Program; a meaningful multi-year strategy to help growing Ottawa firms to attract, develop and retain the top technical and business talent required to thrive, compete and succeed in the global market.

Meet our Keynote Speakers

David Ross

Ross Video, CEO

The word “expert” doesn’t even begin to describe David. He has been surrounded by engineering and business his entire life. He began programming at the age of nine, later winning three major national engineering competitions and graduating from university in Computer Engineering majoring in Business.

In 1991, David began managing product development at Ross Video working closely with Sales and Marketing. By 2006 he had worked his way up to being its CEO and Chairman of its Board. David’s achievements include named as Ottawa “CEO of the Year” in 2016, won his first Emmy, selected twice as finalist in Ontario Entrepreneur of the Year competition, and recently in 2017 was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Ottawa for his achievements in Engineering and Business.

Darryl Praill

VanillaSoft, CMO

Darryl is the Chief Marketing Officer at VanillaSoft, the industry's most established Sales Engagement Platform. As an accomplished award-winning marketer, a Sales World Top 50 Keynote speaker, a Top 19 B2B Marketer to Watch in 2019, and a serial entrepreneur, Darryl has raised almost $100 million in venture capital, acquired, merged and taken companies public, been hired and fired, and worked for companies of all sizes.

Steve Johnson

Pragmatic Marketing, Vice President, Products

Steve is an author, speaker and advisor on product strategy and product management. His approach is based on the belief that minimal process and simple templates result in nimble product marketing and management. Steve was a founding instructor at Pragmatic Marketing, a role he held for more than 15 years. As vice president of products, Steve supports the complete learning path for product teams, ensuring they are fully armed for success.

Catherine Cormier

Director of Product Design, Assent Compliance

Catherine is responsible for the user experience across their industry-leading SaaS platform for supply chain data management. With over 15 years of experience in user experience design, product management and product development, she's passionate about creating innovative software that people love to use.

Aaron Evans

VP of Engineering, Fuze

Aaron is responsible for Fuze's Global Voice and Meetings services. For the past 14 years he has led the software development team in Ottawa through multiple phases of hyper growth. In that time, Fuze went from a small high growth startup originally called Thinking Phone Networks to become a global, cloud-based unified communications platform leader with over $480M in VC funding and over 500 employees worldwide.

Kari Simpson

VP of Product Management and Marketing, InGenius Software

Kari is a product management leader with deep experience in enterprise software, agile software development, product marketing, and OEM partner management. She has held senior product management roles within global teams at BlackBerry, Mitel, Watchfire and AutoSkill. Kari loves working with teams of talented people to build products with exceptional product-market fit.

Libby Robinson

Director of Product Marketing and Management, Kivuto Solutions

Having completed her degree in Mechanical Engineering, she decided that strict engineering wasn't her passion, but problem solving was. She loves product marketing because it acts as the voice of the product, and is responsible for a Go To Market strategy that aligns the needs of the market, the sales and marketing strategies, all the way through to the capabilities of the product. No product sells itself, and Product Marketing plays a critical role in paving the road to success.
