Workshop Summary:

Evidence-based policy making requires analysts to be able to manage, analyze and interpret large data sets. This course offers participants Microsoft Excel training in the steps necessary to analyze data. Participants will learn to manage data lists by creating tables, sorting, filtering, and using advanced functions. Using these skills, participants will be able to analyze relevant data and develop charts to summarize their findings. This is a beginner-level course meant to familiarize participants in beginner-to-intermediate level Excel uses necessary in the day-to-day work of policy analysis. Please note that students are to bring their own laptops for this session.
