SFU's Professional Development Program (PDP) can help you become a certified teacher in 16 months.

For over 50 years, SFU’s Faculty of Education has been pushing the boundaries of education. Taking a non-traditional, community-first approach, we are a leader in educational research and a pathfinder in Canadian teacher education — having developed over 20,000 teachers since 1965.

The PDP is a 16-month, full-time, post-degree program that helps student teachers get their teaching certificate. The structure of the program also allows students to complete a Bachelor of Education as a second degree - without adding any additional time or cost to the program.
