Event description

Description

Are you a professional on maternity leave interested in connecting with other career-minded women?

If so, join us from November 2017 to January 2018 for eight weekly coffee chats (with your baby) to talk about career- and motherhood-related topics.

The meetings will take place on Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM with a break for the Christmas season.

Grow your professional network as a mother and share your insights and knowledge.

The meetings will be gently structured around topics suggested by the meeting leader and participating women.

Each meeting will have a career-focused topic, a motherhood-focused topic, and free time for getting to know other participants.

Guest speakers may be invited depending on availability.

The Woodrack Café has a bathroom with a changing table.

The facility does not take reservations, so a meeting leader will arrive half an hour early to secure seats. An alternate location nearby may be suggested in case of space issues.

One drink (coffee - latte or other, tea, or fresh juice) per meeting is included in the ticket price.

FAQs

Why can't I purchase a ticket to a single meeting?

The program is structured in such a way to foster a deeper connection among participants and stimulate conversation built on trust. Our experience in organizing such events shows that participants benefit more from regular contact than from single events.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

There are no ID or age requirements for this event.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Busses 9 and 52 stop in front of the WoodRack Cafe.

Parking is available at the Calvary Lutheran Church, on 76th avenue! Construction doesn't change this!

There is also one level of pay parking located below the building. Access to pay parking is located behind the building, look for the Parking signs.

What can I bring into the event?

You can come with your baby. Feel free to bring a book or article related to the topic of the week. There may be limited, but not guaranteed space for strollers. Please be mindful of this when attending the meetings.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

You can write to prosandbabes@gmail.com with questions about the event.

What's the refund policy?

Due to the limited number of spots, there will be no refunds for purchased ticket. You can transfer your ticket to another participant for all the events (not individual events). Refunds will be provided only if the events are cancelled or in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the organizer.
