Event description

Description

Professionals involved in direct service delivery for youth (e.g., psychologists, social workers, educators, administrators, family physicians and other medical practitioners) are increasingly likely to encounter gender diversity in the clients and patients they serve.

Yet many professionals report feeling under-equipped to provide competent care and support for transgender and gender diverse youth.

Join us for an evening with child psychologist Ashleigh Yule, who will explore evidence-based practical strategies to create safer and more inclusive professional services for trans and gender diverse youth.

Ashleigh Yule, MA
Registered Psychologist
Doctoral Candidate, School/Applied Child Psychology

Ashleigh Yule is a registered psychologist specializing in child and adolescent mental health with a focus in both the autism spectrum and transgender health. She provides counselling, assessment, and consultation services for children, adolescents, and their families. Ashleigh regularly works with gender creative children, transgender youth, and their families. She is currently completing her PhD in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary, where her doctoral dissertation research focuses on gender diversity within the autism spectrum.
