Event description

Description

This workshop will cover program planning and proposal writing.

You will learn about essential tools and tactics for planning your project/program before you write a proposal. This means building a foundation based on the 4 basics:

1. Describing the project in two sentences

2. Identifying 2-3 project outcomes

3. Developing activities to achieve outcomes

4. Identifying the project deliverables.

Participants should come to the workshop with a project idea or grant opportunity in mind that they want to develop a proposal for. This workshop will be hands-on and practical with a focus on group work.

We will spend the morning talking about program planning, then in the afternoon apply the learnings to talking about writing a proposal.

This workshop will be facilitated by Phil O'Hara, Executive Director of the Edmonton Multicultural Coalition who taught program planning and evaluation for five years to undergrads in Human Ecology at the U of A.

**Morning refreshments and lunch will be included**

Note: If the $10 cost is a barrier please contact Madhusha Sinhara at madhusha.sinhara@reachedmonton.ca, or 780-498-1231 EXT 321.
