About this event

***This event is held at the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Surrey Memorial Hospital. ***

RMH BC is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children in its care and vulnerable persons accessing RMH BC programs and services. We all share a responsibility to promote safe practices and protect children and vulnerable persons from abuse and exploitation. As a requirement for insurance

Across Canada, all Ronald McDonald Houses have adopted a policy to protect vulnerable persons within the organization. This policy includes training that all staff and volunteers must complete. In addition to this training, there is a Declaration that must be signed by all participants. The deadline for these actions is December 15th. It is very important that all volunteers complete this training within the deadline, as we me be audited by the insurer for compliance without warning.

This is a training for the policy will be held in both Vancouver and Surrey and all RMH BC Volunteers are welcome to attend either, in the location that's most convenient for them. For volunteers who can't make it, an online module will be posted the first week of December and the declaration can be signed when you arrive for your shift after December 1st.

Please contact Mike, Manager of Volunteer Resources if you have any questions. Thank you!
