A free training session at Surrey Memorial Hospital for service providers, support staff, and community workers.

About this Event

Trans Care BC is offering a free foundational training session at Surrey Memorial Hospital for service providers, support staff, and community workers seeking to increase competencies in working with gender diverse people.

Content will include:

• Key terms & concepts

• Strategies for creating accessible & gender-affirming care

• Foundational resource and job aides

This training is ideal for social workers, counsellors, mental health workers, nurses, support staff, students, volunteers, and anyone interested in foundational knowledge and strategies for improving care for gender diverse clients & patients.

This foundational training will only be offered once per year in the Fraser Health Region. Don’t miss out!

NOTE: We will also be offering a separate training with support from the Fraser Northwest Division of Family Practice for Physicians and Nurse Practitioners on Thursday, March 7 (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM).
