Description

You are invited to join on Nicole Goehring, MLA for Edmonton – Castle Downs and Government of Alberta Liaison for the Canadian Forces on June 27, 2017 to recognize Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Day in our province.

The event will be hosted in the Edmonton Federal Building on the Legislature Grounds (9820-107 St).

Guests will have an opportunity to connect with supports and service providers. A panel of experts and individuals with lived-experience will also be sharing their thoughts regarding PTSD from 9:30am to 10:30am.

PTSD Awareness Day was introduced by MLA Goehring and passed unanimously by all members in the Alberta Legislature. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and educate the general public about PTSD, its causes, symptoms, who is most affected, and how to find supports in Alberta.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The Edmonton Federal Building is easily accessible by public transit with the Government Centre Transit Station metres away. For those driving, there is parking on the intersection of 108 St and 99 Ave. If you're not staying long, there is free two hour parking on 107st south of 98 Ave.
