Toastmasters – Begins four-week Public Speaking workshop series

About this Event

Are you nervous about speaking in front of a group? Do you want to build your self-confidence and feel more comfortable explaining your ideas? Are you interested in improving your communication skills, but you don’t have the time or money to commit to one of those costly seminars? Beginning October 3rd, the Kanata Toastmasters Club will begin a five-week interactive seminar during their regular weekly club meetings. During these sessions, you will learn proven techniques to enhance your speaking skills and overcome nervousness.

You will have several opportunities to practice skills learned through the educational sessions provided each week. You will learn how to control your body gestures, use your voice more effectively, organize your thoughts quickly, as well as take charge and effectively run an efficient meeting.

Toastmasters is an international, not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to excellence in personal development in the areas of communication and leadership. The Kanata Toastmasters club strives to making the Toastmasters curriculum available to all members of the community.

This four-week course will run each Thursday evening from 7:15 to 9:00 pm October 8th to October 29th. The fee for the course materials is $25. The Kanata Toastmasters club will host the meeting online (due to Covid-19) on Zoom.
