About this event
PUP PRIDE: March n’ Market
Save Our Scruff (in lieu of Unleash the Pride this year, which is hoped to return next!) is gathering our LGBTQ+ community n’ allies to walk, roll, gallivant, and strut our stuff through Trinity Bellwoods towards a market full of goodies from queer-led brands on June 12th.
The event starts at 11:30 am at Trinity-Bellwoods Park on the south side. We’ll then parade up towards Sotto Voce (595 College St.) via Queen, Ossington, Dundas, and Grace.
Show off your pride with a friendly community of dog-loving folk in need of furever homes by parading with us this Pup Pride!
Schedule at a glance
- 11:30 am – 12:15 pm: Gathering at Trinity-Bellwoods Park (south side)
- 12:15 pm – 1:00 pm: We march, strut or roll!
- 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Let’s shop, mingle, and boogie at Sotto Voce
The March (aka ‘Parade’)
We’ll be gathering on the southside of Trinity-Bellwoods Park before parading through Queen, Ossington, and Dundas, flashing our rainbow bandanas (which will be supplied) and pride-inspired ‘fits (if you feel so inclined!), making noise, and getting the neighbourhood pumped, all led by our Pride banner.
Our itinerary
11:30 am
Come mingle at the south-side of Trinity-Bellwoods Park, while showing off your and your pooch’s rainbow outfits, taking snapshots, and indulging in human and pup treats.
12:15 pm
We depart from the south archway at Trinity-Bellwoods Park. Please see our route map.
1:00 pm
We arrive at our queer-led and dog-loving market at Sotto Voce.
The journey is expected to last just over 30 minutes (we’re giving us all some buffer time!), including a rest stop or two to refresh. *Rest stops will be added to the map closer to the date.*
Come out n’ walk with us, roll with us, or just meet us at the market. Supportive, empowering, and inspiiiiring pride energies are VERY 👏 MUCH 👏 WELCOMED 👏. Don’t you dare leave ’em at home.
The Market
Upon arriving at Sotto Voche’s patio and bar, we’ll be welcomed by a DJ and some beautiful queer creatives ready to show-off what they work so hard on. From 1-4pm, Sotto Voce’s patio and bar will be open. Grab a drink (yummy non-alcoholic options avail.), browse through the vendors’ tables, cut a rug, and continue to celebrate proudly!
If you are interested in being a vendor, please reach out to Laura Bye: laura@saveourscruff.org. Spots are limited; queer-led brands to the front, please.
