About this event
David Powell and Ann Powell co-emees will share a short clip of their work with Puppetmongers puppet production "Foolish Tales for Foolish".
This session explores the role of play in mental health. Do we need an excuse to be silly? What are socially acceptable ways to express play, fun and silliness? How do accept the foolish things, we all do periodically. How do we celebrate being happy?
Intermissions! an online networking and idea exchange hosted by special guests. Spend an hour of informal conversation, exploring ideas around puppetry and “celebration events” – everything from birthday parties to end of life celebrations… from social rituals to social justice.
Each Intermissions! begin with a 10-minute presentation designed to spark ideas, followed by breakout rooms, ending in a quick summary and call to action, door prizes and a toast!
Intermissions! is produced by W.P. Puppet Theatre Society and is part of our Puppet Power: Festival of Ideas celebrating themes around applied puppetry. Check out our full line up or purchase a full access pass to the event HERE!
