Become a webmaker on Sat. Aug. 10th and Sun. Aug 11th!
Learn how to remix and create your own websites, videos, and more with Mozilla's
Webmaker tools at PyCon Canada's Maker Party for youth!
Check out some of the awesome "makes" that have been created using
Webmaker's HTML & CSS editing tool, Thimble, and the video-editing tool,

- Create your own comic
- A gig poster
- Postcard
- Thumbs for guns
- The name that celebrity as baby game
And did we mention it's FREE?!
Youth will be able to make, create, and collaborate at this learning lab. Using a project-based approach, youth will learn through making with the help of some awesome mentors!
Event Details:
This event is for: Youth ages 10-18. Parents/guardian of youth 13 and under (must attend remain in the building.) Any youth who wants to make something.
Skill level required: None! Even if you're an expert, this Maker Party will level up your skills
Date: This is a two-day event - Saturday, August 10th and Sunday, August 11th
Time:10am - 6pm
Where: Chesnut Conference Centre, 89 Chestnut Street Toronto
What to bring: A laptop! If you don't have one or can't borrow one, click here to request one by August 4th and we will do our best to get you set up with one for the day! Unfortunately tablets and smart phones won't work for this event :-(
Please note: Lunch and snacks are provided! Please bring a reusable water bottle, though.
***This event requires that all youth ages 13 and under have an adult sign up with them and the adult must remain in the building during the event. If you are a parent/guardian attending PyCon Canada - that works, too!***

The PyCon Maker Party is a part of Mozilla's global Maker Party, a celebration of making cool stuff and teaching others taking place from June 15 - September 15.
