About this event

Q-SITE Conference 2022 is a two-day educational conference designed to familiarize students from across different disciplines and levels of studies to the field of quantum information science and technology and its applications in quantum computing, quantum cryptography, quantum sensing and more.

The conference will include 13 talks, 3 workshops and a career panel with live Q&A sessions, providing a great opportunity to learn about the current state of the field from experts in academia and industry. Additionally, there will be student poster sessions and interactive sessions to network with the institute representatives and your peers.

IQC at University of Waterloo will be showcasing Quantum: The Pop-Up Exhibition during the conference, where you can explore their interactive modules and read more about the research that is being conducted in the field.

Delivery Format

The conference will be delivered in-person at the University of Toronto in the Medical Sciences Building. The online delivery will be via Zoom. The details are as follows:

In-Person Experience

  • In-Person access to all 13 talks, 3 workshops and the career panel
  • Access to explore Quantum: The Pop-Up Exhibition
  • Networking with speakers, institutes, and peers
  • Access to explore students poster exhibit
  • Refreshments and snacks + lunch on Saturday, Oct 15th
  • A chance to win a swag from Xanadu (if one of the first 50 people to sign up)
  • A chance to get a tour at Xanadu and visit their lab (if one of the first 100 people to sign up)

Online Experience

  • Online access to all 13 talks, 3 workshops and the career panel via Zoom
