Qi Gong Beach Workshop: 5-Step Energy Clearing
Event Information
About this Event
Qi Gong’s philosophy revolves around the Tao, the way. When we resist the way, we suffer, are lost in, and live in disharmony. The Tao explains that if the three treasures of life are cultivated and in balance, our life is also in balance and harmony. They are Jin, Qi and Shen; loosely translated as one’s 1) Original Essence given at birth 2) Energy flow and 3) Spirit.
Come join Hang for a practice and workshop at sunrise on the beach to learn the 5-Step Clearing sequence to maintain our original essence as we uplift our energy flow and spirit to cultivate our seeds of happiness, peace, joy and passion for life.

About Hang:
Hang's Qi Gong aspiration started 15 years ago with a 2-year pilgrimage to her roots in the province of Guandong in southern China. As a high school math and science teacher by day and a ninja by night she faithfully and diligently studied Lohan (Shaolin) Qi Gong system and Kung Fu at a local well-known school called Choy Lee Fat Kung Fu, known for its diverse aspects of the rich tradition of the Shaolin Temple. As her practice deepens she has also been greatly influenced by Mantak Chia, Dr. Yang Jwing Ming and many other great masters. Her current daily practice and teachings include a mixture of the Shoalin 8 Brocades, Lohan Qi Gong forms, Yang Tai Chi forms - short and long, and other forms that she, herself, has created and designed. Hang also compliments her practice and study with acupressure, rooted in the Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoist way of life.
You may not know it to look at Hang when you see her humbled smile and friendly face but she was granted the "master" teaching sash while studying in China in 2008. She does not see herself as a master other than a master of eating veggie spring rolls and is often humbled by the transformation in her students because of their openness and dedicated practice. She has trained many Qi Gong students and teachers around the world and is deeply honored to share this ancient healing art with those that cross her path in Ocean Grove and around the world as she travels, eats, teaches and learns with saigon om, a wellness school founded by herself and her partner, Sarah Martin.
Did you know that before yoga and Qi Gong, Hang was an avid mixed martial arts (MMA) practitioner, competitor and teacher for over 20 years in Canada? Her MMA skills include WTF Taekwondo, Judo, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Southern Chinese Choy Li Fut Kungfu, and Kali (stick fighting). She has designed and taught many self-defence courses to teenage girls and women from all walks of life. In addition, Hang is a fitness kickboxing master trainer. Let's face it, Hang can probably kick all of our butts!
