About this event
Dubbed “Our Christmas” by past attendees, The Queer Songbook Orchestra invites you to our seventh annual holiday show, Roasted Chestnuts. With an intimate combination of music and storytelling, we’ll reflect together on the holidays through the lens of queer experience, celebrating chosen family and queer joy. Expect laughter, tears and intergenerational connection at this all ages event!
Funds from this year’s Roasted Chestnuts support the Queer Songbook YOUTH Orchestra (QSYO). Formed in Spring 2022, the QSYO is an avenue for queer, trans, questioning and allied youth to further their musical training while actively engaging in 2SLGBTQ+ representation and community building. The QSYO (and other fabulous guests) will be featured on several selections at this Roasted Chestnuts performance!
FREE TICKETS AVAILABLE TO 2SLGBTQ+ AND ALLIED YOUTH, please contact info@queersongbook.com to get on the youth list!
Roasted Chestnuts is an event for all ages, with general admission seating. Masks are strongly encouraged.
*The Opera House is an accessible venue with a private, accessible washroom.
**If cost is a barrier, please contact info@queersongbook.com to arrange for alternate pricing
