Description

Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR/AED-HCP is a two-day comprehensive first aid and CPR (adult, child, infant) certification course. It focuses on the prevention of and emergency response to injuries common to pre-hospital contexts. Training includes certification in operating automated external defibrillators.

  • Training is recognized by the School of Rehabilitation Therapy, Queen's University.
  • On-campus training at a discounted student-only group rate
  • Courses are taught by certified Red Cross First Aid Instructors to Red Cross National Standards
  • Level HCP (Healthcare Provider): covers all CPR Level C course material plus 2-person infant CPR and use of a Bag-Valve-Mask; recommended for healthcare providers and allied health professionals (physicians, nurses, paramedics and Allied Healthcare Providers - RT, OT, PT)
  • Program meets the latest 2010 ILCOR CPR guidelines

When: September 16&17 OR September 23&24, 2017. 9:30AM - 5:30PM
Cost: $134 + HST; Early-bird: $109+HST

Successful completion of this two-day workshop leads to a 3-year certification that is valid nationally across Canada and which is recognized internationally. Certification satisfies program requirements to the School of Rehabilitation Therapy.
