Event description

Description

Queer Space is an education and support drop-in group for LGBTQ* individuals and allies at Momentum Walk-In Counselling.

In this one hour workshop, "Navigating Caregiving Relationships", we go over the benefits of healthy boundaries while offering support to the people we love, the differences between merging and joining, the signs we're getting burnt out, and what to do when that happens. As always, we'll have time for some education, questions, group discussion, and support.

"Navigating Caregiving Relationships" is part of a 5 week "Boundaries in Relationships" series facilitated by a Registered Psychologist & two counselling interns. The other events in this series are:

May 3: What is burnout and why is it a problem in relationships

May 10: Listening to your intuition

May 17: Boundaries and Accepting your limits

May 31: Ask a Psychologist

Attend as many workshops as you choose. As a drop-in, registration occurs on the first visit, so please arrive a few minutes early if possible. Participants can also join this group by getting connected online: www.queerspaceyeg.wordpress.com

Momentum Walk in Counselling has free parking available and is on a major bus route. For questions or more information about the location, please contact Momentum at 780-757-0900.
