Event description

Description

Queer Space is an education and support drop-in group for LGBTQ* individuals and allies at Momentum Walk-In Counselling.

In this one hour workshop, "Understanding Relationship Patterns", we go over common relationship patterns and how they connect with the three main attachment styles (secure, anxious, and avoidant). You'll find out why attachment is so important and how it may be running your relationship (or potential relationships) without your even knowing it. You'll get to do a quiz about your own attachment style and a group exercise where you talk with other attendees who have the same style. It promises to be insightful and fun! As always, we'll have time for some education, questions, and support.

"Understanding Relationship Patterns" is part of a 5 week relationship series facilitated by a Registered Psychologist & a counselling interns. The other events in this series are:

Sept 12 2017: Healthy Relationship Foundations

Sept 19 2017: Healthy Sex (with guest facilitator Marc Colbourne)

Sept 26 2017: Abusive and Unhealthy Relationships

Oct 3 2017: Open Forum

Attend as many workshops as you choose. As a drop-in, registration occurs on the first visit, so please arrive a few minutes early if possible. Participants can also join this group by getting connected online: www.queerspaceyeg.wordpress.com
