Event description

Description

Quiet leaders know that being alone is a necessary component of the creative process. In solitude, we can hear our own thoughts. We have time to turn ideas over in our heads before someone else interrupts us.

However, sometimes we introverts spend too much time in our heads and we get all analytical! Staying in that "overthinking" zone could hinder our creatively and productively. That is why it's important to inject some type of play in our day because playing stimulates our imagination and boosts the flow of creative ideas.

Join Emma Hawkes, Creative Wellness Coach and creator of ‘Art with Emma’, to explore the benefits of accessing the creative process that will lead you to discover more about yourself in relation to the world around you. Emma believes each one of us was born with the innate need and ability to create and participating regularly in creative activities is a great way to stay mentally alert, physically healthy and psychologically vital. Emma will lead an engaging, interactive talk about her work using the creative process both as a wellness coach and an art teacher. She will give you an opportunity to experience the creative process in a guided demonstration that will be followed by discussion of how you might integrate this approach into your own life and quiet leadership
