About this event
We are so pleased to welcome Jenni Smith from the United Kingdom!
Join us for a very British morning with a bit of History, lots of Quilt Instruction, Tea, & Scones!
Follow along as Jenni tells us about Liberty of London – the 145 year old iconic British Brand renowned for their beautiful fabrics. Jenni will discuss her book, Quilting with Liberty Fabrics. Each quilt in the book represents a decade in history of one of the world’s most famous fabric manufacturers.
Jenni will teach you how to love Foundation Paper Piecing, which is an amazing skill to add to your quilting repertoire. We will piece together the Spring Blossom Tree for a table runner. Alternatively, the pattern could be simply used for a pretty trivet, pot stand, bag, or a larger project, such as a quilt. You will also learn tips and tricks for machine sewing and get a sneak peek at Jenni’s amazing stash of Liberty prints collected over 30 years.
● The Spring Blossom Tree pattern will be provided to all students.
● There is no requirement to sew with Liberty fabrics for this workshop, although they are amazing to work with!
● Two delicious Tea Room Scone recipes will be included in your registration. You may like to try it, or use your very own recipe, to be enjoyed during the event - not a requirement!
● A Discount Code to Country Clothesline shop will also be included on registration, to be used anytime the weekend of the event.
● This project would make a Wonderful finish for Spring, Easter or Mother’s Day!
