Fifty artists – some of Canada’s most celebrated and many who are First Nations – have taken up paintbrushes and carving tools to portray our fragile coast – one they feel is threatened by the Northern Gateway project proposed by Enbridge and their international partners. The resulting works, combined with prose and poetry, are being published in a book entitled Canada’s Raincoast at Risk: Art for an Oil-Free Coast and the works themselves will be auctioned off to support Raincoast's work to protect our fragile coast. This event is the premiere launch of the art shows and the accompanying book.
