This class will show gardeners how to build a raised bed garden this spring and grow healthy food in their own small space. No more weeding in clay or watering all weekend. Save hundreds of dollars on your grocery budget while creating an enjoyable, zenful space to grow organic, fresh, healthy food.
Each student will create a basic landscape design sketch to choose the best placement in the microclimate for raised bed gardening. Students will also learn the best products, soils and watering systems to use while also learning the cultural requirements to grow happy, healthy plants over a longer growing season.
Led by Heritage Farm Northern Permaculture Facilitator in the Parks & Recreation Shop.
