About this event

When I hear Patrick Radden Keefe has a new book, my click-mind perks up. As Rachel Maddow says: "I read everything he writes. Every time he writes a book, I read it. Every time he writes an article, I read it... He's a national treasure."

Keefe’s last book, Empire of Pain: The Secret History of the Sackler Dynasty, won the Baillie Gifford Prize for the best non-fiction book in the English language; and his book before that, Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland, was hailed by the Sunday Times as “an unrelenting epic work.”

And now he brings us Rogues: True Stories of Grifters, Killers, Rebels and Crooks, twelve stories of skulduggery and intrigue all originally published in The New Yorker, from the intricacies of forging $150,000 vintage wines, to whether a whistleblower who exposed money laundering at a Swiss bank is a hero or a fabulist, to Anthony Bourdain in Vietnam.

Patrick Radden Keefe is our guest at a free RamsayTalk Online on Tuesday, July 12th from 12 noon to 1 p.m. ET. Patrick will discuss his book, then I’ll interview him, and then he’d be happy to answer your questions.

So please join us to hear the new master of the personal profile, as he dissects personalities we can’t take our minds from.
