This 3 hour training gives an overall for best strategies in the Reach framework

Inclusion Module discusses what Reach does and how we partner with existing recreation programs. It discusses AODA standards and addresses how to break through barriers (attitudinal, physical, and systemic) to support inclusion. Programs are tasked with looking at their existing programs and seeing where they need to go. Strategies are given for program staff to help them become more inclusive.

Differing Abilities Module looks at some of the characteristics of Developmental disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder-ASD. Communication Module focusses on expressive and receptive language needs and the important strategies for coaches/instructors/teachers to use for maximum understanding and participation. We look at how to use visual schedules and transition supports to create routine, predictability and reduce anxiety.
