Description

This REACH Institute CME course will be a three day, highly interactive educational workshop followed by a 6 month bi-monthly case presentation teleconference with other participants guided by REACH faculty.

Participants will acquire skills and knowledge in diagnosing common children's mental health disorders such as:
- ADHD
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Bipolar Disorder
- Conduct Disorder
- Psychosis
- Aggression

Participants will learn what diagnostic tools are appropriate and develop a treatment plan composed of non pharmacological approaches.

Participants will learn how to treat these disorders using the best evidence based studies/literature.

Participants will learn how to effectively/optimally bill for seeing these complex patients.

This is 6-month long CME that that will give participants a Pediatric Psychopharmacology Mini-Fellowship in children's mental health.

CME Accreditations

This Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 83.25 Mainpro+ credits.

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the University of Calgary Office of Continuing Medical Education and Professional Development. CME Credits may be claimed after the conclusion of the six months of bi-weekly Teleconference calls in approximately December 2019 (Teleconference dates/times TBD).
