Reactive Rover II - Saturday April 29, 2017 2:00pm (Fish Creek Park)
Sat, 29 April 2017, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM MDT
This course is for dogs with known aggression and/or reactivity concerns, which have completed the Calgary Humane Society’s Reactive Rover class, and would like to continue to work on increasing their dog’s skills. It can be very difficult to take skills taught in a controlled classroom setting and apply them to everyday walks in new situations. This drop-in class will take place at the CHS as well as many different park locations around the city of Calgary to allow for different experience and generalization of skills. Tellington TTouch concepts, ideas from Pam Dennison, Turid Rugaas, Brenda Aloff and Leslie McDevitt are mentioned during this course. The techniques discussed will be from the prospective of dog to dog aggression, but the same approaches can also be used with other fear-based aggression issues.
Requirements: Dog must be neutered/spayed and over 6 months of age. Dogs must have completed Reactive Rover. Dogs also must be up to date on vaccinations.
The class is one hour long.
Price: $40 for non-members, $35 for CHS members, senior citizens and dogs rescued from shelters or other rescue organizations (including CHS, Animal Services, ARF, etc.) Fees are non-refundable.
