Exhibitor Booth Rental

You are invited to exhibit at our annual Reading for the Love of It (RFTLOI) 2022 in-person conference taking place on Thursday, February 24, and Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. 

You'll find that teacher delegates enjoy the chance to view and purchase print materials and be informed of what’s new, and book signings are usually popular and well supported. We value your participation and ask you to book early.

How do I register for the conference booth rental? All registrations must be processed online using our Eventbrite registration system. You will be able to pay your registration fee with credit card (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX), OR select an offline cheque payment option. Regardless of which payment method you choose, your registrations must all be processed online.  We will not accept any hand delivered, faxed or mailed in application forms.

If you plan to pay by cheque, you must still register online indicating that you will be mailing in your payment;  mailed in cheque payments will be accepted and applied against your online application;  cheques are made payable to ‘EYS Reading Association’ or the extended version: East York-Scarborough Reading Association. 

Please do not prepare a cheque in advance of registering.  It is not necessary and you will need the confirmation email notice that will include the full price of the booths and the applicable processing fees. Paying by cheque will not affect the order in which I will reach back to you to sort out your booth(s) location.

The 2022 per booth and advertising base rates remain the same as in 2020. Booth rates are $950.00 inclusive of our HST per booth;  advertising rates vary according to the ad size you wish book  PLUS Eventbite processing fees + HST (applied to all online applications); an additional processing fee + HST will apply to those making payment by credit card.

Booth assignments will be made in order of receipt of your online application; we will contact you as soon as we can following your application submission.  We ask for your patience as we work through submitted forms.  For quick reference purposes, a web link to the 2022 exhibit floor plan will be provided soon.


Booth Specifications and Other Information

Each booth has a surface area of eight feet deep by ten feet wide with a maximum height of eight feet. The booth comes with a six-foot draped table and two chairs. Typically the back wall is eight feet high and the side walls are three feet high. It has not yet been determine if we need to upgrade the side walls to eight feet for 2022 relative to where things will be at with the pandemic next February.

Additional needs are supplied through the contractor, Freeman Decorating, who will email you an information package. A limited number of dollies are available for loading and unloading. If you need extra assistance, Freeman Decorating will provide it for a fee. Consider sending a shipment in care of Freeman prior to the conference if you have a large load. If you arrange your own delivery, have the driver deliver directly to your booth with someone at the booth to receive it. A move-in schedule will be provided in advance of the show.

Important Notes

1. There is limited storage on the show floor; materials must be store in designated storage areas.

2. Please respect the booth space parameters as outlined above. Any exhibitors exceeding the surface and height restrictions will be asked to bring their booth in line.

3. The loading dock is for unloading and packing up hours only; cars will be towed if left unattended.

Exhibitor move-in and set-up is Wednesday, February 23 from 1 to 9 pm.

2022 Display times: Thursday, February 24 from 8:15 am to 5:00 pm and Friday, February 25 from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm. Our Association requests that no exhibitor presentations be scheduled when sessions and meal events are in progress. Booth tear down must not take place prior to 4:30 pm on Friday, February 25 and must be complete by 8:00 pm.

The Reading for the Love of It conference is regarded as pre-eminent in bringing together local, national and international authorities in the field of literacy. The goal of the conference is to provide a wide spectrum of speakers to inspire and provoke thinking about literacy issues, and to promote the lifelong love of reading, all at an affordable cost to delegates. Register early!

Refund Policy:

1. Refunds are only issued on an emergency basis and will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

2. If for some reason you unable to honour your participation in the conference trade show, a request for a refund can be emailed via the Eventbrite system or sent directly to eys@readingfortheloveofit.com. We will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note that Eventbrite will retain their processing fees plus applicable tax (HST @ 13%)

3. Regarding COVID related health risks, we will be following government mandated protocols should gatherings be prohibited. In this case we will provide refunds.

4. Refunds requested by telephone will not be honoured.

5. A $50.00 office fee is retained for any NSF cheques.


The professional development (PD) that our association provides at Reading for the Love of it, is independent of all teacher unions. Any requests for refunds due to labour disputes after January 1, 2022, will not be provided.

Frequently Asked Questions

I did not receive a receipt when I registered online. 

If your e-mail is not entered correctly, you will not receive a receipt at the time of your registration. Please contact us at eys@readingfortheloveofit.com and we will check your registration, make any necessary adjustments to your email address, and re-send your receipt. We will not be mailing a hard copy of your receipt, so please ensure to print the copy that is emailed to you.

When is the final conference programme available?

The final 2022 program is posted at our website in early December. Printed copies are mailed to registered teachers in early January. A full copy will be posted to our website at the following web link: http://www.readingfortheloveofit.com/program.html

Is the hotel accommodation included in the booth rental fee:

The Sheraton Hotel accommodation is a separate cost and must be booked directly with the hotel. Please refer to the information below to book your accommodation OR refer to the Registration Brochure for additional hotel details. Please tell the hotel that you are with the Reading Conference.

You are on your own for meals.

The Sheraton Centre is connected to a network of underground shops and restaurants from where you can purchase a meal. The network is called 'The PATH'. Click Here for The PATH maps and more information.

If any of your representatives will to attend a meal function Keynote Speaker presentation, you must register and pay as a delegate and pay the additional fee to attend those sessions.

Where is the closest parking to the Sheraton Hotel?

The Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel is connected underground on the concourse level with a 'Green P' parking lot which is located just across the northbound street.  2019 rates: $3.50 / half hour with a daily maximum of $20.00 (7am - 6pm); nightly maximum of $6.00 (6pm - 7am); Saturday/Sunday & Holidays daily maximum of $8.00 (7am - 7pm).
