Description

REEP 2.0 & High-Performance-Home Tour

At the request of your East Kootenay REALTOR® peers, the RDEK Community Energy manager is facilitating this face-to-face, interactive, innovative training. Learn to knowledgably incorporate home energy performance into the home selling/buying experience and help clients to access incentives and rebates associated with home energy efficiency.

Approved for 3 PDP, category C points from the Kootenay Real Estate Board, this session will consist of both a morning presentation and a hands-on tour of a local high-performance home constructed by Larsen Whalen Enterprises. The day will be hosted by REALTOR®, Rob Grey, Energy Advisor Chris Wiebe, and builders from Larsen Whalen Enterprises.

The Real Estate Energy Efficiency Program (REEP) is designed in consultation with REALTORS® for REALTORS®! Together REALTORS® will explore practical ways to incorporate energy efficiency seamlessly into the sales process. What sets the REEP program apart is the intimate small group format, providing an opportunity for REALTORS® to learn, ask questions and share stories.

This program expands on the initial REEP pilot project to now include energy labelling and an overview of the EnerGuide® System. This REEP 2.0 session will includes handouts and current provincial utility rebates and community incentives.

More information on REEP can be found in the 3 short videos at the following link: http://www.vireb.com/reep-video
