#RealChange: Anti-Racism Education Film Screening Event
About this event
With funding from the Government of Canada, Brandon University researcher Dr. Michelle Lam and her team took two years to collect stories of racism currently happening in the province. They turned those stories into film scripts, read them with focus groups, worked with filmmakers who were from the communities represented in the films, conducted another round of focus groups, and then finalized a robust toolkit of resources, all available online free of charge. The four films highlight anti-Indigenous racism, anti-Black racism, anti-immigrant racism, and Islamophobia.
Please join us at 6:00 p.m., in He Oyate Tawapi (Ceremony Room) in the Health Studies Building and hear a presentation of the research, followed by the four short films.
The screening will be followed by a reception and refreshments.
