REBEL Living: Because real wellness requires real rebellion.

A six session summer program designed to support you rebel against the noises of diet culture, body politics, fat phobia and disordered eating. Each session will inspire rebellious living through providing community, consistency, support and education. This program is designed to support those in recovery from eating disorders, disordered eating and chronic dieting. This group is therapeutic and psychoeducational.

Each week is themed and you will receive follow-up emails that provide information, resources and books specific to what you discovered in session. Because I want you to feel supported while you learn to rebel you will have unlimited access to a private moderated chat group. A place for you to connect with rebels - just like you.

Blowing Up Body Myths
July 4 @ 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Fact: Ninety-five percent of diets fail. You can’t change your bones to have the body you see on the ‘gram. You will be introduced to size acceptance, the political roots of body positivity and body acceptance and blow up commonly held body myths.

"Wellness" the New Diet Culture
July 11 @ 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Dieting is so last season but it isn’t out of fashion. Unfortunately dieting is now disguised as “wellness”. Together we will be getting ruthlessly honest about the trickery of diet culture to ultimately create our definition of wellness.

Your Brain During Disordered Eating
July 18 @ 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

We will going deep into what happens to your brain when you diet. Exploring how your brain and body continue to try and keep your body healthy even when you engage in disordered eating and how this relates to change in personality, affect, relationships, and interest.

Moving Meditations
August 1 @ 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Brace yourself, we are going to talk about exercise. But we are not going to be talking about “fitness”. Together we will challenge old beliefs about movement and bring the pleasure back into moving. We will be doing a yoga flow together, so wear something you can move in.

Mindful Munching
August 15 @ 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

What matters more than what you eat is the intention you eat with. We will practice eating mindfully to build our capacity to listen to our guts. Our guts have more neurons than our brains. In this session we will take the time to connect our mind with our tummy. Snacks will be provided.

Self-Worth Beyond the Scale: Health At Every Size
August 22 @ 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Scales are fish and have nothing to do with your worthiness. We will debunk the medical BMI model and fat phobic beliefs about health that weigh down our culture. Please bring your scales, magazines, old clothes, and diet cultures relics. Together we rebel against diet culture by smashing the scales.

This is a closed group - once the group starts you are commited to all six sessions.
