Description

Habitat for Humanity's mission is to break the cycle of poverty. Habitat for Humanity works with families in need (Partner Families) to build safe, decent and affordable housing. Houses are sold to Partner Families with no down-payment and are financed with affordable, no interest mortgages. With the help of thousands of volunteers, Habitat for Humanity has provided over 500 families with a hand-up into home ownership!

About the Project

Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver will be building 6 new homes for 12 Partner Families on Ash Street in Richmond, BC. Our goal is to raise $5000 (or 10K ;) ) for the Habitat for Humanity Ash Street build.

We’ll be there and would love to make the dreams of deserving families come true with you. So please donate generously or come join us on build day! Absolutely all skill levels (even no skills!) are welcome.

Recharge Tribe is thrilled to be a part of this local build!

About Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver

Habitat for Humanity's mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty. Their vision is of a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Through volunteer labour and donations of money and materials, Habitat for Humanity works with families in need (or as we call them, Partner Families) to build safe, decent and affordable housing. Houses are sold to Partner Families with no down-payment and are financed with affordable, no interest mortgages. Families invest 500 hours of their own labour, what we refer to as sweat equity, into building their own houses and those of other families. www.habitatgv.ca
