Description

What Makes Churches Grow? Beyond gimmicks . . . Looking to the future.

Keynote Speaker:

The Right Reverend Jenny Andison
Bishop Suffragan in the Diocese of Toronto
and Area Bishop of York-Credit Valley.

What are the common characteristics of churches that are growing both spiritually and numerically? What can we learn from them? Bishop Jenny will not only draw from recent studies on growth in mainline churches, but on her experience as a parish priest for 20 years in a variety of contexts. There will also be small group opportunities to talk through your own context and what first steps you could take!

Bishop Jenny was born in England and has lived in Pakistan, India, Singapore, and Japan. Bishop Jenny was ordained to the priesthood in 1998 and has served in the Diocese of Toronto as Incumbent of St. Clement, Eglinton (2013-2016), the Archbishop’s Officer for Mission (2010-2013), and Associate Priest for Church Development, St. Paul Bloor Street (2006-2013). She has also served in parishes in the Diocese of London (UK), the Diocese of Tokyo, and the Diocese of Ontario. She was elected in September 2016 and consecrated on January 7, 2017.
