Event description

Description

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission offered Canada 94 Calls to Action as a roadmap towards true reconciliation. Many of these recommendations centred upon education as a means of creating empathy, understanding, and of righting historical wrongs. This session will focus on Treaties and Treaty Relationships as a means of working towards repairing the wreckage left behind by the broken relationships that we have all inherited as Canadians. Kevin Lamoureux is the Associate Vice President – Indigenous affairs at the University of Winnipeg.

Tickets are free, but space is limited so please register as soon as possible.

The MacClement Lectureship was established in 1985 by friends and family in memory of William T. MacClement to support an annual lecture series. We are grateful for the continued generosity of all friends of the Faculty.
