COME MEET YOUR RURAL NEIGHBOURS
Mountain View County is hosting a bus tour on Saturday, August 17th. The tour will start at the Cremona Gold & Silver Club and include stops at the Fallentimber Meadery, Akesi Farms, Bergen Farmers Market & Double N Ranch.

At the Fallentimber Meadery you can expect an informative beekeeping tour. Later a tour of the meadery will be offered along with a tasting. There will also be an agricultural scavenger hunt for children attending the tour.

Akesi Farms sells chicken eggs, honey and vegetables and runs a mushroom spawn company called Fungi Akuafo. Tour attendees will be able to learn about mushroom production while also be informed on their water collection and management systems, as well as the benefits and challenges of rural living. Local artists will be participating by showcasing their works for sale at the farm.

The tour will be stopping at Bergen Farmers Market and having lunch in the Bergen Community Hall that consists of locally sourced meats and produce and is prepared by the Bergen Community Association.There Tour attendees can tour the various booths and meet some of the local producers.

At Double N Ranch the attendees will be able to receive information on the solar panels installation that provides much of the farm’s electricity needs. As well a tour of the purebred cattle operation, see the horses and the firewood operation. Attendees will also be able to harvest some vegetables out of their large garden that supports multiple families.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please ensure you have identification if sampling or purchasing any alcoholic beverages and owners may require proof of age. Alcohol will not be served or sold to anyone under 18 years of age.
What are my parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking is free. Parking is available on the street outside the Cremona Gold and Silver Club. Please angle park.
What can I bring into the event?
