About this event
June is Filipino Heritage Month, which recognizes Filipinx-Manitobans’ invaluable contributions to our local economies and communities. Filipinx people serve as integral contributors to Manitoba’s economic, social and cultural fabric, and we play an important role in supporting the growth and prosperity of this province we call home.

ABOUT MFBC
The Manitoba Filipino Business Council (MFBC) was first established in 2011 with the support of over 100 entrepreneurs, business owners and professionals. MFBC’s vision is to become a prime community resource hub for Filipinx business people and professionals. Our mission is to build a sustainable future for the next generation of leaders by creating an inclusive community through collaboration.
ABOUT ANAK
Aksyon Ng Ating Kabataan (ANAK) Inc. is an incorporated non-profit organization comprised of concerned young Filipino-Canadian professionals and students. The word “anak” itself is Tagalog for “my child.” ANAK is comprised of the children of Winnipeg’s early wave of Filipino-Canadian immigrants. It also represents a growing number of immigrant children and youth. We envision a future where all Filipino-Canadians have the opportunity to share, learn, and preserve their transnational culture and heritage through education.
