Recovery Day Winnipeg 2019
Date and time
Recovery Day Winnipeg 2019 is a free day-long festival at The Forks to celebrate sobriety and overcome the stigma surrounding addictions.
About this event
Thousands of people come together across Canada for Recovery Day. This year we want Winnipeg to rally along with us on September 14, 2019. Come celebrate sobriety with us at The Forks. It's time we tackle the stigma surrounding addictions and mental health issues.
Recovery Day Winnipeg is September 14, 2019 at The Forks. 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The free festival will include a kids zone, all-day entertainment, live music, a variety of performances from local artists and dancers, resource booths, guest speakers, food vendors, and a market.
American actor Mackenzie Phillips from One Day at a Time and Orange is The New Black will speak at the event about her journey to recovery and how she has helped hundreds of people as a counsellor. Former Swollen Member Madchild will be headlining the event at 1:30.
The day will kick off at 10:00 a.m. with a free yoga class. The rest of the day will have free exercise classes every hour.
