Description

Calling all mates! Celebrate Canada Day weekend with a Canadian icon at the Redpath Waterfront Festival, presented by Billy Bishop Airport, June 29-July 1.

Bluenose II will lead the fleet of over 10 tall ships sailing in for Toronto’s 9th annual Redpath Waterfront Festival. The tall ship on our dime hasn’t been to Toronto in over 10 years. Don’t miss your chance to see and tour this replica of the “Queen of the North Atlantic”! By her side will be Picton Castle, a majestic three-masted ship that has sailed the world 7 times over. Other ships participating in the festival include U.S. Brig Niagara, Pride of Baltimore II, Denis Sullivan, Fair Jeanne, St.Lawrence II and Playfair.

For the first time, the Canadian Coast Guard will be cruising in for the festivities with a giant ice breaker! Returning to the festival is the Royal Canadian Navy with their oldest and longest-serving commissioned ship, the HMCS Oriole.

The nautical fun continues on land with a Maritime Market, sail-training activities and live entertainment. Parks Canada will also be back for another year with Home Port Hero stories.

2019 festival partners include: Redpath Sugar, Billy Bishop Airport, the Waterfront BIA, Government of Canada, Government of Ontario, City of Toronto, Tall Ships America, porter, Westin Harbour Castle, CTV and Cision.

The Redpath Waterfront Festival is the launch of the TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE ONTARIO® Tour which travels to 4 other Ontario ports this summer. Follow the ships and learn more about each event at www.tallshipson.com.

It’ll be a great, lofty, towering, sky-high kind of weekend. We call it TALL for short. Get your deck tour tickets now as early bird prices increase after Victoria Day weekend.
