Event description

Description

Join us for our first ever comedy night with 3 outstanding Toronto comics, bringing irreverant laughs to people of all-abilities.

We are excited to bring Michael McCreary, Dan Barra-Berger and Courtney Gilmour to RAFFTO18!

Meet the comics!

Dan Barra-Berger

Dan is a Toronto-based stand-up comic, accessibility advocate, YouTuber, and backpacker who talks about (among other things) living and travelling with a visual disability. You can find him online at: @danbarraberger

Courtney Gilmour

A killer combination of sharp writing and warm likability has made Courtney Gilmour one of Toronto's fastest rising talents. She delivered a breakout performance at the 2017 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal by winning the Homegrown Comics Competition and filming a set for Kevin Hart's new LOL Network. Courtney was one of the 42 at Toronto's acclaimed JFL42 fest and is set to return to Just For Laughs in 2018 for a taping on The Comedy Network. This year Courtney will also be making her debut at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and the Halifax Comedy Festival where she will film two tapings for CBC She is a touring comic with Yuk Yuk's and has previously made appearances on SiriusXM's Top Comic, The Beaverton, and can be heard regularly on SiriusXM's Canada Laughs.

Michael McCreary

Twenty-two year old Michael McCreary was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome at the age of five. At age 13, in an act of self-preservation - combined with the desire for constant attention and the inability to stop talking - he began stand-up comedy. In the past 5 years he has performed stand-up shows, keynote addresses and panel presentations in every province in Canada and across the United States.

There are lots of sad stories in the autism community but this is definitely not one of them. Michael gives you permission to laugh at the lighter side of Autism Spectrum Disorder with his act “Does This Make My Asperger’s Look Big?”!
